We're Moving - AGAIN

OK, so Ian received the job offer from Semitool and accepted it, so we're moving to Kalispell, MT. We have 3 weeks to clean up the garage, go through the boxes we never unpacked, figure out which things are staying & which are going away, then packing up the rest of the house & figuring out which things can be put in storage & which will go with us to the corporate housing. Then everything has to be staged into stacks of moving truck 1 and moving truck 2 with the items staying with us going into the trucks first & the stuff going into storage going into the trucks last, so that once we get to MT, we can take everything to storage & then to the corporate housing. At this point, we don't know if we'll get corporate housing or a rental, but either way, it's 6 months of free housing while we wait for our house to sell. Also during this 3 weeks, we have to clean all the windows, floors and whatever else needs it. Then we have to do touch-up painting as well. All of this has to be done by the afternoon of Aug 15.

On the evening of Aug 15, we head down to Albuquerque to stay overnight in a hotel & then fly out to Cape Cod - to see Ian's mom - on Aug 16. We return on Aug 26. Then on Aug 27 we pick up the two moving trucks, load them up & head out that afternoon / evening. Ian says it will take 3 days to get there, so we'll be in time for the Labor Day weekend.

Sammy's 7th birthday is Sept 2, so we think we'll have to have a little party for her with her friends in the middle of the day on Aug 27 so that she can celebrate with her friends as she won't know anyone in MT.

We're hoping that during our 6 months of free housing our home in Santa Fe will sell.

I will probably have to go to work in MT to help pay off dept and start a savings for our home we want to build, but it will be good for Rachael to learn to play with other kids her age and we hope the public schools are good enough, otherwise Sammy will go into 2nd grade at a private school. That is all up in the air for now, but I'll start the school research soon.

So if anyone wants to see Santa Fe & us before we move, you should plan to visit before Aug 15. Otherwise, we look forward to your visits in Kalispell, MT.

Robyn,
Sounds like an exciting move...we LOVE Montana and actually considered moving there a few years back. Anyways, I have enjoyed meeting you and was looking forward to getting to know you better but off you go....I will pray your move goes smoothly and your house sells quickly. May the Lord bless you with friends and a lovely home in this next chapter of your lives.

OMGoodness that is quite a move. Now is you or your husband that got the job. I swear I read your blog twice and could not figure that out.

If you pass through Oregon and need a place to lay your head we have plenty of room, and you would be more than welcome. Blessings in the busy time of transition.
